The RTD specifically targets to convene developers and users of CETs and key Transparency-Participation-Accountability (TPA) CSOs to discuss (1) the objectives or desired impact of CETs, (2) the state of use/ uptake, (3) factors that affected use/ uptake (or non-use/ non-uptake), (4) key issues and challenges. After brief input presentations and open discussion on Philippine experience on CET so far, researchers from Institute of Development Studies (IDS)-Making All Voices Count (MAVC) will be facilitating a structured discussion for the research that they are conducting on CETs in the Philippines during this RTD.

G-Watch is hosting the RTD to generate inputs and advice from its partners and networks and share its current thinking on the role of CET/ ICT in scaling accountability as part of its reboot process.

G-Watch is formerly a social accountability program of a university founded in 2000 that is currently rebooting, in transition to being an independent national action research organization embedded in constituencies of civic and advocacy-oriented organizations all over the Philippines aiming to contribute in the deepening of democracy through the scaling of accountability and citizen empowerment.
